The Demosthenian Classic
Public Forum

About this format:
Public Forum Debate, which is one of the fastest growing forensic events in the United States, pits two teams of two against one on another in a debate that is modeled after Crossfire and other cable news debate shows. It was initially designed to be easy to televise and targets students who don’t have time to make a debate a priority. It uses a minimal amount of Debate jargon (For example AFF= PRO and NEG= CON) and it MUST be judged by people with no debate experience.

The Demosthenian Classic will use the January, 2006 topic established by the NFL.

We will also use the official NFL format.
